A Vaccine Cold Box is an insulated container specifically designed for the storage of vaccines during transit or when there is a power outage. They are capable of keeping vaccines at the required temperature for far longer than basic coolers are capable of.

Without any electrical connections the COLDTECH Vaccine Cold Box is capable of maintaining a stable temperature of +/-1°C for up to 48hrs. It is ideal for storing vaccines during transit and during power outages.
The COLDTECH Vaccine Cold Box is cooled by Eutectic Plates which are similar to ice blocks and are usually kept in your freezer. It is powered by a Sealed Lead Acid battery.
When the Cold Box is required, the Eutectic Plates are placed in a separate compartment and via the control unit located on the front of the box you set the desired temperature, wait for the Cold Box to reach the desired temperature and then add the vaccines.
